Howdy, I'm Kristin!

First of all, welcome to my portfolio and thanks for stopping by. I’m so glad you are here, stick around for a minute and see what I have to offer!

My name is Kristin Tevlin and I was born in raised in the great place of Cypress, Texas! I earned my Associate of the Arts degree from Lone Star College and moved to Huntsville to continue my education. I am seeking to earn a Bachelor of Mass Communication with a concentration in PR & Advertising.

I have always been creative and have channeled it through art and design. In high school I found a passion for doodling and this has opened many doors to amazing opportunities I’ve been blessed to be a part of. I developed a desire to digitalize my drawings to use and share on a larger scale, this is where my education in graphic design began. I have taught myself and taken classes focused in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign as well as used these programs for jobs in printing and design to gain real world experience.

Earning this degree from a community college gave me the opportunity to establish the basic skills I need for my bachelors degree and learn an immense amount about hard work as well as time and money manegment.

Bachelors of Mass Communication

Expected Graduation: December 2020

Studying Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising! My favorite class so far has been Design for PR and Advertising!

Responsible for managing customer interactions, fulfilling orders, maintaining printer upkeep, project management, graphic design work, and day to day printer operations.

Familiar with HP Designjet T2300, OKI pro 900DP, Xerox Color 1000, HP Latex 360, HP FB 550/750, and Xerox D95A/D110/D125 printers/copiers. As well as Mimaki cg-130fx plotter, manual Apparel Screen Printer, Wide Format Low Temperature Cold Press Laminator, and Industrial Paper Cutters.

Promoted to head cashier in March 2016

Responsible for managing cashier staff including ensuring scheduling, daily duties, training, and job execution.

Maintained inventory and front of house design and decoration including window and chalk board displays.

Responsible for taking and revising orders/consulting customers, taking and making phone calls, cashier duties, general sales, and office organization.
